Preschool Standards

The State Office of Education has been asked to establish standards for education programs in preschools. In the past they offered guidelines for Kindergarten readiness when anyone asked. The new standards would be more comprehensive and the Office of Workforce Services will use them in licensing commercial preschools. the committee that is drafting them is seeking input from the public -- that's you and me!

All comments will be reviewed by the Early Childhood Standards Committee.  The comments will be summarized and presented to the Utah State Board of Education.


Comments are due by February 19th.
